Habitat Hemply Molinar Lone Wolf Deck Review

I got this deck for Christmas on December 23rd, 2007. I ordered it from
utilityboardsupply.com. When I got it, I was very impressed. It didn't
have the best pop, but that was because it wasn't really broken in yet.
The only thing I didn't like about the deck so far was the flexibility.
I could bounce up and down on the deck so easy. It would flex a lot
which wasn't a good thing. Over the next few days of skating the board,
and getting it broken in. I grew to love it. It had amazing pop, and it
was the lightest board I have ever skated in my life. Very good. The
only thing was, it wasn't very durable. With only about two weeks of
actually skating the board it had its first chip on the bottom of the
board, near the middle. I was very displeased with this since it was
only a week old, and at the time I wasn't really a hard skater. Given
about another month the board was really starting to turn for the
worst. It was all chipped up, had cracks throughout the whole board,
and was losing it's pop and it felt very week. It only took about
another month before it was done with. It cracked on a simple
boardslide on a parking block. When I would do boardslides on this deck
I could see it bend with a lot of cracks in the board. I was very
frustrated with this seeing it wasn't very old. The final life of this
board was a little over 2 months.

Where it cracked in the middle:

Durability Rating: 4/10
I was very upset with the durability of the board, I loved the board, but it was very quick to chip up and go.

Pop Rating: 9/10
I was happy with the overall pop of it. When I first got the board it
blew horribly. But after a few days of skating it turned out to be very
good. I could get a solid clean ollie every time with this board.

Shape Rating: 10/10
This board had a very good shape to it. It was more of a pill shape
than most boards, but it has a very nice concave to it. Medium concave,
a little more on the steep side. Nose noticeably bigger than the tail.
I loved it.

Graphic Rating: 9/10
I love the graphic of this board, the lone wolf design was a very good
graphic in my opinion. Just like all the other habitat designs.

Overall Rating: 6/10
I loved this board, but it didn't last very long. Other than the
durability, to me this board was perfect. It had a great shape, pop,
everything. If it lasted longer, I definitely wouldn't hesitate buying
another one of these suckers.
